Recipe: Peach Praline Pie
Ingredients
4 cups sliced fresh peaches 1 cup sugar 2 tsp instant tapioca 1 tsp lemon juice 1/2 cup flour 1/2 cup chopped pecans 14 cup cold butter, chopped 1 uncooked pie shell Combine peach slices, 1/4 cup of sugar, tapioca and lemon juice. Allow it to sit for a few minutes (10-15 minutes). In another bowl combine the remaining 3/4 cup of sugar with the flour and chopped pecans. Cut in the butter pieces, and combine until the mixture resembles crumbles. Place /13 of the crumb mixture on the bottom of the uncooked pie shell. Spoon the peach mixture on top and cover that layer with the remaining crumb mixture. Bake at 450F for 10 minutes and then reduce the temperature down to 350F for another 30 minutes. |
