Recipe: Chocolate Pecan Pie
1 - 9 inch unbaked pie shell
2/3 cup white sugar
1/3 cup butter, melted (not margarine)
1 cup light corn syrup
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup chocolate chips
Mix together the eggs, sugar, melted butter, corn syrup and salt in a bowl. Set aside.
Sprinkle the chocolate chips and pecans on the bottom of the unbaked pie shell.
Pour sugar and egg mixture over top of the nuts and chocolate chips. DO NOT mix.
Bake at 375 for 35-45 minutes until the pie is set.
If you find the pie browning too quickly cover the foil.
Allow it to cool and set for about an hour before serving.
