Recipe: Cherry Limeade Popsicles
Mama K
My husband and I recently tried a new offering on the menu of our favorite warm weather after dinner treat venue. Normally the place sells flavored custard, but they've added a handful of homemade popsicle flavors to their menu. We worked our way methodically through the short list, one flavor at a time, over a period of a few weeks. Our favorite was the Cherry Limeade. There was only one problem with our new found addiction -- at $3.00 a pop, the cool treat was quickly burning a hole in our pocket. I decided to try my hand at making my own. It was a complete success -- our version was just as, if not more tasty, than theirs. Best of all they were much less expensive. Give them a try -- I'm sure they'll become a family favorite of yours as well! Ingredients 1 cup water 1 cup pitted cherries (fresh or frozen) 2 tbsp lime juice 1/4 cup honey Combine ingredients in a blender until smooth. Pour into popsicle molds and freeze until set.
