Recipe: Cheeseburger Macaroni Casserole
1 lb ground beef
1 onion, finely chopped
2 14.5 oz cans diced tomatoes, undrained
1 8oz can tomato sauce
1/4 cup ketchup
1 tbsp mustard
2 cups chicken broth
1 lb dry pasta (I used rotini)
2 cups water
1/2 - 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Scramble fry beef with onion in a dutch oven. Drain excess grease and return to the pot.
Add in tomatoes, tomato sauce, ketchup, mustard and chicken broth. Mix well and bring to a bowl. Turn down to a medium simmer and add the dry pasta and water. Cook until pasta is tender.
Remove from heat, and sprinkle cheese over top. Place lid on the pot and allow the cheese to melt.
