Recipe: Butter Tarts
Ingredients
12 pastry tart shells , baked 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/4 cup corn syrup 3 tbsp butter 1 egg, beaten 1/4 tsp vanilla 1/8 tsp salt 1 1/2 tsp vinegar 1/3 cup raisins 1/4 cup walnuts (optional) Combine sugar, corn syrup and butter. Add egg and blend well. Stir in vinegar, salt, vanilla and raisins. Add in nuts. Pour filling into cooked tart shells and bake at 425F for 5 minutes and then turn down to 350F and bake for another 15-20 minutes. |
