Holiday Recipes - The Ins and Outs of Stuffing

Ingredients

3/4 cup of butter (12 tbsp)
1/2 cup sugar
1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
3 tbsp light corn syrup
1/2 tsp vanilla
sea salt (optional)

Combine butter and sugar in saucepan in medium heat, stirring until the butter has melted and the sugar has dissolved.

Add in sweetened condensed milk and corn syrup. Cook on medium high, stirring constantly, until mixture boils.

Reduce heat to medium low, with mixture still bubbling. Keep stirring for 10 minutes, until the mixture thickens and begins to pull away from the side of the pan.  Do not stop stirring!

Remove from heat,  Add in vanilla. Stir to combine and then pour into a foil lined 8x8 pan. Sprinkle sea salt on top if desired.

Refrigerate until cooled and set.

Cut and wrap with wax paper.  Store in the fridge.

These caramels are chewy and buttery and so so so wonderful! Great to give as a gift during the holiday season!
