Baking: Snickerdoodles

Ingredients

1 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 1/2 cups flour
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
2 tbsp sugar
2 tsp cinnamon

Mix together in medium bowl the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt.

In large mixing bowl cream together the butter and the first amount of sugar. Add the eggs, beating well after each one.

Roll into about 1 inch balls.

Mix together the last amount of sugar and the cinnamon. Roll the balls in this to coat. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake in 400 degree oven for 7 to 8 minutes.

Makes about 4 dozen.
